Catherine
Lidis.
Founder and instructor. Form-first Reformer, Mat Pilates and Yoga.
Personal teaching,
by design.
LIDIS FORM is Catherine’s practice. She plans every class, teaches every class, and knows the people in the room.
Catherine teaches Reformer, Mat and Hot Mat Pilates, Yoga, and pre and postnatal classes including Mums & Bubs. She also runs private events and restoration sessions on the Gold Coast.
Her classes are calm, exact and properly challenging: precise form corrections, then smooth, flowing transitions. You are seen, corrected and encouraged.
[EDIT: add credentials — e.g. Pilates and yoga certifications, training bodies]
Four principles.
- 01
Form first
Good form comes before more load, more reps or more speed. Every rep is watched and corrected.
- 02
Clear cues
Short, specific corrections. Where your feet go. Where your ribs sit. When to breathe. Where it helps, the muscle doing the work.
- 03
Then flow
Once the form is right, exercises link into smooth, flowing sequences that build control and rhythm.
- 04
Stretch and strength
Strength without length is half a class. Stretching is part of the work, never an afterthought.
Not a chain.
Not a timetable of strangers.
Classes stay small enough to correct. Progressions are planned week to week. If something hurts or feels wrong, it gets adjusted on the spot.
